Why?
Why, after 6 years of wellness & fitness blogging, would Practically Well veer into reviewing & rating James Bond films?
Good question. And there really is no good answer. If you are one of the 42 subscribers, you may have noticed that I occasionally relate a story that is more personal than wellness related, though I usually try to tenuously tie it to a fitness / wellness message. This time I’m just putting it out there.
It sounds like fun.
So, we will rate all 27 James Bond movies. Among Bond fans, there has always been discussions, arguments , etc regarding who is the best Bond and which are the best movies. So we are going to look at every movie, one at a time, and rate each movie on a number of categories;
James Bond. Possible 100 points. Of course. We all have our favorites, whether it’s the gritty, serious Daniel Craig or the light-hearted Roger Moore. We’ll take each movie and each performance separately.
Villain. Possible 100 points. The villain can make or break a Bond film.
Bond Girl(s) Possible 100 points. Another important aspect to every Bond films.
Theme Song Possible 75 points. The theme song has become a major attraction. Who is performing, and how did they do.
Henchmen , or woman. Possible 50 points. From Jaws to OddJob, they definitely add to the Bond movie experience.
Q, M, Moneypenny or misc. Possible 25 points. The supporting cast can definitely add to a Bond film. Or any other possible issue that you want to add points for.
If you would like to get involved, let me know and I will let you know which film is next to be reviewed. I’ll be starting with “Octopussy”, the 1983, Roger Moore offering. I’ll post it so you know how I’m doing this. If you send me your ratings, I will include you in the post.
If you’re into Bond, I hope you enjoy,
Cheers,
Bob
